The Andhra Pradesh Shooting Ball Association is one of the pioneer State Associations of Shooting Ball Federation of India. It was established in the year 2018 since then Andhra Pradesh Shooting Ball Association (after bifurcation) had been vibrant in all the activities of the game of Shooting Ball .
It had produced National and International players to start with Haneeth Nag, Siva Anjaneyulu , Vijay Kumar the National Champions the finalist in Asian Shooting Ball championship on 1st & 2nd February 2023. Also, Devendra, Khamar Basha, Vijay Babu, and Upendra represented the Indian Men’s team in the first World Cup championship-2024 Date : 2nd & 3rd, March 2024.at Javahar lal Nehru stadium in New Delhi. & Mr. Mohammed Yusuf Basha as a Gold Medalist 2nd Asian Shooting Ball Championship at Ithahari City Koshi State Nepal country. Date : 1 & 2 February 2025. Mr. Mohammed Yusuf Basha is a key member of the Indian shooting ball victims and is commendable for contributing his part to the team’s success.
Andhra Pradesh Shooting Ball Association General Secretary K.Parusha Ramudu was the coach of the Indian Men’s team for the first Asian Shooting Ball Competition and the Manager of the Women’s team for the first World Cup Shooting Ball Competition. & Manger of Indian Women Shooting Ball team for 2nd Asian Shooting Ball championship in Ithahari City Koshi State Nepal country. Date: 1st &2nd February 2025. It is noteworthy that Indian Shooting Ball teams have emerged victorious when he has served as a coach and manager. He has been a member of organising committee member for many National level Shooting ball competitions.
The first National Championship was held at Ambedkar Stadium New Delhi in 22-24 April 1976. Shooting Ball is also included in School Games Federation of India & EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT and FIT INDIA program of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
The Ministry of Sports of India has recognized the Shooting Ball Federation of India on 20th September 1985, Asian Shooting Ball Federation grant recognition to Shooting Ball Federation of India on 11th December 2018with Ravindra Singh Tomar as its General Secretary, and B.Venkataramaniah as its President in Andhra Pradesh, and K. Parusha Ramudu working as its General Secretary and making plans for the development of Shooting Ball in Andhra Pradesh.
After Parusha Ramudu was elected as the General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Shooting Ball Association, the shooting ball association in the state is on the path of development.
The members have worked hard to recruit interested young exercise teachers working in the association and interested senior players as members and organize competitions and send them to national level competitions.
In addition to organizing the state level shooting ball competition in the state and sending it to the national level, the state also organized the South Zone shooting ball competitions in the junior and senior categories.
Shooting Ball was introduced to Andhra Pradesh (after bifurcation) since 2018. APSBA affiliated with Shooting Ball Federation of India (SBFI)
